Following the easing of restrictions on churches by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, some churches today organized church services in their auditorium, the first time since the last week of March 2020.

The services however took place under the strict protocols announced by the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs to curtail further spread of the virus.

A visit by MyNewsGh to some churches in Accra revealed sitting distances of about 25 meters whilst all members wore nose masks.

The temperature of members was also checked with a thermometer, whereas all sanitize their hands before entering the auditoriums of the respective churches.

At Assemblies of God Church at North Kaneshie in Accra, members were delighted to be back though the numbers had reduced drastically, indicating that many members failed to turn up for church today.

Some of the members who spoke to MyNewsGh.com expressed gratitude to God Almighty for taking care of them during the coronavirus pandemic and also once again bringing them together as a congregant to worship Him the creator.

At the Gospel Ambassadors Church at Abeka Lapaz in Accra, the congregants were also delighted to be back though they thought they might not return to church anytime soon because of the scaring nature of the COVID-19 virus.

Kingdom Path Chapel located at Ofaankor in Accra also held church services, with the head pastor Reverend Osei Bonsu urging all members to always repose confidence in God and worship Him with all their heart every time, every day.

Church services were also organized by some churches in the other regions across the country.

Many churches in the coming days and weeks are also expected to reopen their church auditorium for church services.

Some of the protocols announced by the Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Minister, Kofi Dzamesi were the provision of thermometer guns, no mask no entry policy, washing and sanitizing hands, regularly sanitizing microphones and others.
