The Hearts of Oak secretariat in Accra was besieged by some crazy soccer fans on Friday following a mad rush for tickets ahead of the much-anticipated Ghana Premier League Super Clash between giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
Supporters of the two biggest clubs in the country thronged the Hearts offices and some designated sale outlets in a frantic bid to secure tickets for the all-important match of the season.
Reports say over 10,000 match tickets for the encounter which went on sale on Friday morning have been sold out in just one hour.
The Phobians were given the green light by the Ghana Football Association (GFA), National Sports Authority, and Ministry of Youth and Sports to sell advanced tickets to avoid congestion and also ensure strict compliance to the COVID-19 protocols at the Accra Stadium on the matchday.
However, fans were spotted forming long queues at the Hearts secretariat and some sales outlets in anticipation of getting advanced tickets for the big game which could determine the champions of the 2020/2021 league season.
