You’re an irrelevant oldman speaking rubbish after Akufo-Addo wiped your faction – EFL’s Hardi to Kufour

Fighter General of the Economic Fighters League Hardi Yakubu has chided ex President John Kufour for what he says are “unthoughtful” attacks on the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah.

The EFL argues that President Kufour lost the right to speak about Nkrumah’s legacy when after 8 years his legacy were HIPC toilets, saying Kufour spoke “rubbish”.

According to the League, ex President Kufour, instead of protecting the people who have been loyal to him such as Paul Afoko and others who were and are victimized by Akufo-Addo, he prefers to spend his time attacking Nkrumah.

“Kufuor is not our problem. He is old, defeated and out. In his own party, he has little or no power left. All the people in his camp with any semblance of power have been systematically decimated under his own nose, starting in 2015 with Paul Afoko and the rest. Akufo-Addo has wiped out the so-called Kufuor faction and the only way they survive in the party is either to beg (like Kwabena Agyapong, even to be a member) or appear to uphold their biggest lies in the form of attacking their “enemies”” he wrote.

Hardi Yakubu says ex President Kufour’s statement against Nkrumah is his way of staying relevant.

“To remain relevant, even if powerless, he has chosen the tired strategy of attacking a common enemy – i.e Kwame Nkrumah with one of the most ridiculous jibes I’ve ever heard, something even a casually read Form 2 government student will laugh at.

For us, we are focused on the job. What would a lion be doing in a monkey dance party?

Anytime somebody talks rubbish about Kwame Nkrumah, I get a lot of messages urging us to respond. The latest one is Kufuor. I will say as I always do, our mandate is not to react to things like this. We have set out to do something bigger, to recalibrate the destiny of this nation as a country that caters to the needs of all its citizens, not only the few. In fact, our mandate goes beyond just Ghana. The biggest vision Kwame Nkrumah ever bequeathed us is the vision to unite the African continent into one powerful, prosperous country. That is where our focus is. To defeat neo-colonialism once and for all.

That is what Nkrumah would want us to do. He doesn’t need us to talk for him. His footprints are all over the world speaking day and night, shining the light on what is possible, showing unequivocally that the “Black man is capable of managing his own affairs”.

Let’s finish the work he left, for our own benefit and the benefit of future generations.”
